How to pose.

Learning how to pose is an essential part to taking the best photos of yourself or others. With these key tips you are sure to up your posing game and have a successful shoot!

  1. Elongate your body.

Elongating your body allows for a taller, slimmer, and more curvy/open body. Try standing with one leg out towards the camera and bent only a little while the other straight and slightly behind. Leaving that gap/space between your legs allows for the illusion of your body being longer making you look taller.

  2. Frame your face

Framing your face allows for sharpening of facial structures, and a great addition to your photos. Ways you can do this is by slightly brushing your hair behind your ear, resting a finger near or on your lips, or laying your hand slightly on your face.

  3. Create movement

Creating movement is the perfect way to show personality and allow for creativity and natural relaxation to be made. As some my find it difficult to let their personality show in front of the camera adding that movement is going to help a ton! Ways to do this can include flipping or moving hair, using your outfit, or even the surrounding environment.

  4. Open up those arms!

Opening up your arms from your waist is also another way to make your body look more curvy/open. You can do this by raising your arms above your head and crossing them, playing with your hair, or even using one hand to frame your face while the other is leaving a slight gap from your hip. One thing you should stay away from is leaving your hands down to the side of you or crossing them in front of you. Doing such things create a square like figure and no shape or dimension in photos.
