Best Places To Take Graduation Photos At UCF

As UCF is a large campus containing lots of spots to take photos, many students question what locations are the best for graduation. This blog will guide you to choosing your perfect graduation locations & truly let your accomplishments, vision & ucf legacy show.

 Reflection Pond

The reflection pond is by far the most popular place to take graduation photos on campus. Although it is the most popular it is a must have location spot. The only downside to this location is how busy it is. You will hardly have a time during graduation season to not get anyone in the back of your photos making it look a bit busy in the photo. However despite its business it is still one of the most beautiful spots on campus and an iconic campus location. Plan your graduation photos ahead of time to ensure you get the perfect photos at reflection pond today!

 Boardwalk at the Student Union

This gorgeous location surrounded by trees, and gorgeous natural colors is perfect to suit your cap and gown photos. This spot of course is stunning during golden hour and provides the loveliest bokeh effect. This location is also busy but due to its longer path and twist and turns you are normally lucky enough to frame other grads out of the background.

 Major Building

The building that so many of your accomplishments were made in is a great spot to celebrate your achievements. Whether it in front or inside the building, show off your major and have some fun! Major locations tend to not be busy as well allowing for you to still have time for other locations like reflection pond or the boardwalk at the end of your shoot.

Bounce House Stadium

Whether you’re a fan in the stands or a player on the field, this is one of the best places to take your photos due to the memories made going to games throughout college. Even if you didn't go to football games the stadium is a great way to show the ucf legacy as the football stadium is one of the heart locations of ucf. The stadium allows for lovely symmetry & light making for a great photo.

*If you’re a senior, keep an eye out for when UCF opens the stadium for graduation photos. It’s only open for a limited time so grab the opportunity while you can!*

Memory Mall

With its large open space the lighting is going to be lovely in your photos. This does tend to be a more active spot but  does not get as busy as the boardwalk or reflection pond. This is a great spot to hit while waiting for the boardwalk to open up as it is just across the road.

Parking Garage

One of the most popular garages for graduation photos is Libra. With the height above all it allows for a great scenic landscape shot with ucf buildings, water tower or stadium in the background. The garages give for a clean sleek look and is highly recommended for students looking to set their graduation photos apart from the rest.

John C Hitt Library

The new renovated library allows for a stunning portrait shot giving reflection of light, and depth in the photo. Students love the way these photos come out and this location is hardly ever busy or being used for photos making it the perfect location away from the craziness.

Sorority/Fraternity House

The memories made in your sorority or fraternity house are ones to remember! With that being said why not use the homes that made your college years ones to remember a location for your graduation photos. The open light and scenery of the home that contains so much laughter and fun in the background is sure to add that extra special background.
