Why Should I Hire A Photographer?

Many people struggle with seeing the true value in hiring a photographer for their portraits or family events. People state that photographers just “click a button” and for the cost of it it's not worth it when they have cameras at their fingertips (their phones). Although you do have “cameras” at your fingertips let me allow you to see the full value of hiring a professional photographer.

Hiring a photographer allows you to be a part of the memories.

While selfies may do the trick, there's nothing like having a professional capture your memories for you. It's easy to believe that the memories you capture can be preserved on your phone, but oftentimes, when looking back you recognize that you're not in any of the memories. Hiring a photographer gives you a chance to be a part of the once in a lifetime memories you are capturing. You get to be in the moments with your loved ones, rather than separated from the moment by the “camera” you have at your fingertips.

Professional photographers have top of the line equipment, and know how to produce the best final product.

Most professional photographers have invested a lot of money & time into researching their equipment. They have tons of knowledge on how to maximize its use and turn your photo shoot into the best final product. While I am in no way saying that the more money they spend on their equipment equals better pictures, when photographers have equipment that they know how to use, the quality & atmosphere of pictures tends to be better.

For example, I have several lenses that I use for different things. I have wide-angle lenses that I use for when I want to incorporate the background as well as  lenses that are more zoomed to make for more flattering portraits. I have lenses that I use for a softer background, and lenses that I use to avoid distorting people’s faces. All of my cameras and camera lenses are also fully operated by me. With that being said it allows me to have full control of the photos I am taking for you, resulting in the absolute best product i can produce.

Photographers take all the stress off your shoulders.

With all the planning and getting every little detail of your event right the last thing you want to worry about is spending most of your time during the event  trying to capture it rather than enjoy it. Hiring professional services of a photographer allows for the comfort of being able to enjoy your event to the fullest, and completely rely on the photographer to capture all the little details that you put so much work into.

Photographers not only capture your memories but find ways to create a whole new light in them when editing.

The old “all they do is click a button” saying....yes we click a button but there's so much more that goes into capturing a photo. Photographers take into consideration lighting, angles, height, symmetry, definition, spacing, distance, illusion, and so much more tiny details when taking your photo. Professional photographers look beyond the obvious of what most eyes see allowing for a more in depth photo. For example one may see trees but a photographer sees the angles, the lighting coming through the trees, the tree that is off center, the ground leading up to the tree, and the movement that the tree can produce for the photo. Photographers then take that observation and place their subject in the most desired area that allows for the best photo opportunity. From that one image then comes hours of editing. Editing style is up to the photographer and is really what you are paying for when hiring a professional. Multiple test runs are made and details such as softer skin, elegant lighting, and so much more is then added into the overall image.

In Summary

The most important reasons to hire a professional photographer include:

-To be part of the memories - instead of behind the iPhone/camera

-Equipment the photographer obtains  & the  knowledge of it

-Stress free planning with a professional whose job is to know everything about photography leading to much more natural and professional looking photos.

- Photographers eye & style of editing
